Our PHA, Pure Hypochlorous Acid, generated by our Hidroblue system, has a high oxidation power in organic matter, measurable over kilometers and does not generate or minimizes unwanted by-products such as Chlorates, Perchlorates, Trihalomethanes, Chlorides. Our treatment does not alter the conductivity of treated waters and is compatible with biological control, not affecting macro and micro treatments such as Trichodermas and Mycorrhizas used in irrigation water.
A good disinfection that ensures oxidation of organic matter eliminates harmful bacteria and fungi, reducing pathogen input to the crop and significantly improving the rhizosphere area with more root and absorbent hairs, reducing harmful fungal colonies like fusarium which generates greater balance.
Our application has been well tested in this major current problem. Contaminated waters, the use of wastewater and fertilizer application, combined with high temperatures, generate significant biofilm inside pipes and filters, which over time, not only increase fungal and bacterial colonies but also create major clogs. Our treatments with PHA Pure Hypochlorous Acid, tailored to each crop and client, guarantee 99% effectiveness in eliminating this biofilm, based on a treatment that reduces the biofilm day by day without generating clogs or harming the crop.

Water is a very limited resource that forces us to take all necessary measures for its proper use, leachate and drainage reuse, along with wastewater reuse, is now almost mandatory in any agricultural installation. But the use of these waters involves the great complexity of high pathogen loads and other elements that can seriously harm crops, requiring a good disinfection but also a good design when applying that disinfection, as with highly contaminated waters, by-products like chlorates and perchlorates can be generated. The excess organic matter in all waters, both surface and underground, the mixing of waters between basins with contributions of organisms adapted to specific conditions, high temperatures, and the modernization of hydraulic infrastructures, can improve optimal reproduction conditions and lead to the generation of Invasive Organisms such as the Asian Clam, Zebra Mussel, and Bryozoans, the most well-known and highly studied by different public administrations managing the basins and water supply for irrigation.
Currently, there are many recommendations to reduce the effects of these organisms capable of clogging large sections of pipes, clogging filters, and all in high-pressure water. But they mostly remain physical cleaning solutions, anti-adhesive paints, and some shock treatments with conventional chemicals. All these actions are interesting and can help reduce the problem but do not solve it, so each year the user sees increased colonies of organisms in all their installations through their negative effects.
Our company has been studying the case for years and conducting trials with private sector companies and Water Basin Confederations. From these studies, a continuous application at a specific dose of PHA Pure Hypochlorous Acid has been developed, solving the problem simply by eliminating the biofilm, removing the sustenance, habitat, and reproduction of invasive organisms. We also oxidize the larvae and the treatment creates non-optimal conditions for the adults, causing them to detach or die from starvation. Our technique does not harm infrastructures, crops, or generate unwanted by-products.
Continuous water disinfection throughout the water mass significantly improves the rhizosphere area, with a notable increase in absorbent hairs and white roots, even in cold periods. Water with organic load, combined with fertilizers and warm temperatures above 15°C, generates life and therefore unicellular algae. With each irrigation, these algae deposit on all types of surfaces, creating the well-known green scum over days.
Our disinfection treatments with PHA Pure Hypochlorous Acid oxidize all types of algae, both unicellular and filamentous, preventing their reproduction on surfaces such as floors, alveolus trays, pots, walls, filters, etc.
Green slime serves as sustenance and habitat for bacteria and fungi, as well as for insect reproduction. By eliminating it, we drastically reduce the reproduction cycle.
The water we use for fruit washing often becomes contaminated after contact with the harvest.
It is important to perform good disinfection of this water to avoid bacterial traceability in the supply chain, but there are also toxicity limitations usually generated by conventional chemicals like Chlorates and Perchlorates.
Disinfection of these tanks or washing in showers with water disinfected with Pure Hypochlorous Acid PHA improves water quality and avoids toxicity in the disinfection process, as long as the disinfection process is well calculated.
However, sometimes due to the organic load and suspended solids, it is necessary to design pre-treatment processes including recirculation, filtration, flocculation, and flotation to maintain water of acceptable quality. This process allows us to maintain the water for weeks, months, and sometimes we have clients who only change the water twice a year, resulting in significant water savings for the company.
Livestock Water Treatment
Non-disinfected water can contain harmful bacteria like E. Coli and Clostridium, causing stomach infections, diarrhea, and even death in animals.
It is important to know that groundwater is not always of good quality and can be re-contaminated upon entering the farm’s network due to the presence of biofilm, which harbors bacteria.
Pure Hypochlorous Acid (PHA) is used to make animal water potable. This treatment ensures healthy water and cleans biofilm from the water. Additionally, it can be applied in high doses without harming the animals.
With this simple improvement, mortality from infections is reduced, decreasing diarrhea and lowering feed conversion costs. Organic dirt on farm floors is also reduced, minimizing infection hotspots.
WWTP

The residual left in the water eliminates the biofilm from the downstream hydraulic conduits, with the benefit of avoiding salt and lime adhesion. It also serves as a control for invasive organisms like Zebra Mussel, Asian Clam, and Bryozoans, a phenomenon that increases during droughts, water transfers between basins, high organic matter load in all waters, increased temperatures, combined with the modernization of facilities, posing a risk for all hydraulic installations once they are present, and a challenge to eliminate them completely.
DWTP
Currently, intake waters are experiencing higher contamination levels due to droughts, high temperatures, and the discharge of wastewater and industrial water into rivers.
HidroBlue allows treating waters in pre-oxidation and post-treatment (re-chlorination).
The treatment with PHA is very interesting in pre-oxidation, as with a low dose, we can oxidize organic matter without generating by-products like chlorates, perchlorates, chlorides, trihalomethanes, or bromates, which are generated by conventional technologies and chemicals.
In post-treatment, the dosage can be adjusted to normative values, being measurable in free chlorine. This disinfectant is very efficient against biofilm in pipes produced over years, which are niches of bacteria where hypochlorite, at recommended doses, is not efficient.
Other benefits are that it is non-corrosive and odorless, even when dosed at high ppm values during occasional hyper-treatments.
Naturalized Pools Water Management
One of the main problems with biological naturalized pools is algae generation, which can lead to eutrophication and oxygen depletion, collapsing the pool. Conventional disinfection systems like chlorine, saline electrolysis, and peroxides are not suitable for these natural waters, as they hinder natural life in them.
